Rev. Edmond Kelly was an ordained Baptist minister of New Bedford, Mass., ca. 1850. Collection consists of a printed circular and fly sheet "To the Friends of humanity" and "To the Friends of the Slave" pertaining to obtaining the freedom of Rev. Kelly's family from slavery; a wife and four children, by the paymet of 2,800 dollars, in cash. The circular was sent to church congregations to solicit donations for him.
